HISTORY: In August 2000, the original site at www.carnaby.co.uk was due for a major overhaul and so naturally having designed the original site (while at Global Edge) I did a redesign that was to be presented at the pitch for the new site. I had to send this new design to the PR company which was collating all the pitchs for the new site that came from various other companies so they could present them to Shaftesbury (Shaftesbury being the owners of the Carnaby Street estate). Never got the job - not too sure if the PR company even took it to the meeting... or perhaps it was the sheer cheek of me costing site maintainance at 1 penny under the price of original base site's maintainance. Either way, I really do think that this design is better then what Shaftesbury eventually plumped for (see www.carnaby.co.uk) |
 OTHER NOTES:The basic cue for nav interface on the left hand side of the site is taken from the actual structure of the streets that make up the Carnaby Street estate. You are welcome to mail me if you think I should do a working version of the rough design displayed above. |
