It doesn't matter how you travel to Carnaby Street the first thing to do is to look for Oxford Circus - see the map.

Head for Oxford Circus and you won't go far wrong - once there you can always ask for directions to Carnaby Street which is then only a short walk away.

the tube

Take the tube to Oxford Circus. The Bakerloo, Victoria and Central tube lines all go through Oxford Circus. Leave the station by the Regent Street exit and follow the walking instructions below.

... If you take a bus
London Bus.
Hop on any of the following big red buses and ask for Oxford Circus.
Bus Numbers:
3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 15b, 16a, 25, 53, 73, 88, 94, 135, 137, 159 and the C2.
... if you're walking
From Piccadilly Circus: feet.Walk up Regent Street, towards Oxford Circus, until you reach Beak Street on your right hand side. Turn into Beak Street and Carnaby Street is now only a few steps away on your left.

From Oxford Circus: Walk down Regent Street to Great Marlborough Street now on your left. Turn into Grt. Marlborough Str. And walk past Liberty's store - the 'main entrance' to Carnaby Street is just a bit further on on your right.

As an alternative to the above you can walk further down Regent Street, from Oxford Circus, to Foubert's Place. This is part of the Carnaby leading directly into Carnaby Street.
