Lush, celebrated purveyors of fresh and handmade cosmetics, open their 4th central London store at 40 Carnaby Street.
Fitted
out in Provençial style butchers block wood, just like the best French
delicatessen, with products that may look good enough to eat- but are, for
the most part, destined for the bathroom rather than the kitchen.
The compelling aroma of fresh herbs, fruits, flowers and oils pervades,
to tempt and entice; Soaps, in huge slabs, are piled high. Customers serve
themselves to refrigerated Fresh Treats and experience the ultimate in
pick n mix skincare by selecting a Gourmet Topping at the Cleansing Bar;
Shampoo Bars and Bath Ballistics are piled onto tiered wooden stands;
Herbal Hair colours are sold warm from steamers; Dusting powders in coloured
glass tanks are decanted into shaker pots; Bottles circle 8 foot towers
and blackboards offer essential information about the delights below.
