DispensaryHistory of The Dispensary
First shop opened in Notting Hill in 1988 in an old chemists shop by Sophy Lynn and Jean-Marie Carroll. Opened first central London shop in Newburgh Street (off Carnaby Street) in 1990. Opened second shop in Notting Hill at 200 Kensington Park Road 1994, followed by menswear shop in Newburgh Street 1995.
Now four shops stocking brands such as, for men, Carrhart, Duffer of St George, John Smedley. T-shirts by Brazilian designer Alexandre Herkovitz, Hicky. Footwear by Patrick Cox, Camper, Dry Shod. For women, Preen, Suture, Harrison, Elspeth Gibson, Knitwear by John Smedley, T-shirts by Sun and Sand, footwear by Patrick Cox.

Customer
Young sophisticated but hip young men and women about town. Soho customers mainly lunchtime regulars who work in local offices, media, production etc., not out-of-towners "up west". First shop to bring fashionable labels to now ultra cool Notting Hill.
